Get Out of Pain
If you are someone in pain, it is usually your main goal to get out of pain. But what are your real goals? What value would being out of pain, bring to your life? What would you be able to do that you aren’t able to do now? Let’s make that happen by focusing on getting you out of pain and keeping you out of pain.
We want to make sure you are able to finish your 18 holes of golf, pick up your grandkids, or even climb up a flight of stairs without pain, and make sure an injury does not happen again.
The Key to Getting Out of Pain
The key to getting out of pain and staying out of pain is to understand the difference between the source and the cause of your pain. The Rehab Docs want to get you out of pain by attacking the cause while providing relief to the source. We do not want to simply mask the pain by only treating the source, and not the cause.
Injuries can be a scary thing and you need to make sure you’re trusting the right people to help you recover. The number one cause of an injury is a previous injury. All too often this is because not enough time and care is taken in the rehab process to correctly stabilize the structure. It is very easy to build a compensatory stability strategy instead of the correct stabilizing strategy. A compensatory strategy will leave the joint up for instability through certain movements and could possibly lead to another injury. The Rehab Docs make sure you leave the rehabilitation process performing at your absolute best, without unnecessary compensation.
There is nothing more depressing, debilitating, or frustrating than chronic pain. Chronic pain becomes a part of you; it limits you and defines you. This does not have to be your lifestyle. We take special care with our chronic pain patients in order to understand the cause of the persistent pain. Whether the root of the problem is central or peripheral, The Rehab Docs will help you achieve your goals.
What is Holding You Back?
Let’s face those concerns head on. No one should be living in pain, and you are no exception.
