CHIROPRACTIC ORTHOPEDIST

Kevin Bein

Dr. Kevin Bein graduated from Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and Masters Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky. Kevin also played baseball at UK as a pitcher before having a career ending elbow injury. His athletic and rehabilitation experiences gave him a passion for working with athletes pre and post injury.

In Chiropractic school Kevin was a team leader of the sports council, which taught sport specific biomechanics to students. He tutored students in neurology, physiology, and anatomy. Kevin was accepted into the sports rehabilitation clinic at Logan University and also received the opportunity to intern with the Chiropractor of the St. Louis Cardinals. Beyond his knowledge of treating athletes, he also worked extensively with para- and quadriplegics.

Kevin moved to Charleston, SC in 2017 immediately after completing school to open The Rehab Docs. He has 3 kids and currently resides on Daniel Island. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his kids, fishing, golfing, and simply being outside.

DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Sam Sheppard

Dr. Sam Sheppard, PT, DPT, CSCS, TPI-M, TDN-L2, is a skilled physical therapist at The Rehab Docs in Daniel Island, South Carolina. A graduate of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, Dr. Sheppard earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science & Physiology and his clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Sacred Heart University, Dr. Sheppard served as a two-year captain of the Division 1 wrestling program, earning first-team all-academic honors for the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association. While in graduate school, Dr. Sheppard received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Before calling Charleston, South Carolina, home, Dr. Sheppard spent five years working in Greenwich and New Canaan, Connecticut, earning secondary certifications in dry needling and spinal manipulation. He also earned his medical designation through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Dr. Sheppard has extensive experience in treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as post-operative sports medicine cases. He enjoys exploring Daniel Island and spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their new son Luke.

Docter of Physical Therapy

William DeVries

Dr. Will DeVries received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Baylor University. As a board-certified Physical Therapist his expertise is comprehensive and derives from his interest in rehabilitative science and his extensive research with the movement disorder population in neurology, especially post-stroke recovery, Parkinson’s, and sport science. He is thorough, experienced, and compassionate. He is also certified in dry needling and deep tissue laser therapy.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Will graduated from the University of Kentucky. He was employed at the University of Louisville in Neurosurgery. Working with spinal cord injury patients, he discovered his passion for physical therapy and patient care. He next accepted a position at MUSC focusing on clinical research and electrophysiology. Concurrently he earned a Master of Sport Science from the Citadel, enhancing his interest in prevention, health, and wellness. He attended Baylor University DPT program where he graduated in 2021.

Will is a family man who enjoys the outdoors and living in the low country where he looks forward to contributing to the community. He has coached youth soccer teams and volunteered at equine therapy at Hoof Prints in the Sand.

Massage Therapist

Samantha Antalek

Samantha Antalek, LMT, has a combined 16 years of experience practicing massage therapy and teaching yoga. Samantha brings a holistic approach to therapeutic massage, Neuromuscular massage, Myofacial Release, Cupping Therapy, and Thai Massage. She is also a certified Fluid Yoga instructor and offers restorative yoga therapy private lessons. She is very passionate about wellness and helping the body run optimally.

Samantha also specializes in CranialSacrial Therapy reducing pain associated with headaches and neck pain. She uses a combination of these techniques to individualize each session to help patients life a pain free and active lifestyle.
